Let's applaud the remarkable achievements of our dedicated SOLVE community in 2023. Amazing 21,426 individuals joined 1,471 events spanning the Oregon Coast alongside rivers, waterways, and our city streets. We are particularly proud to have engaged almost 5,000 youth volunteers promoting environmental awareness for the next generation.
Together, we effectively removed 713,206 pounds of trash, cleared 257,563 square feet of invasive plant species, mulched 63,932 plants, planted 5,204 native shrubs and 496 trees, and cleared 977 trees from invasive ivy.
To illustrate the magnitude of these achievements, this is equivalent to the weight of 5 school buses and removing invasive plant species from an area equivalent to 15 basketball courts. Beyond environmental upkeep, our impact echoes stewardship resonating through our passionate community.
