SOLVE, with the support of the National Marine Sanctuary Foundation, is piloting an Oregon Adopt-a-Beach program in Clatsop and Tillamook County through December 2018. Sign up today by contacting SOLVE at joy@solveoregon.org

Turn the Tide. Adopt a Beach!

Adopting a beach is simple. It only takes one person to get things started. Every cleanup, no matter how large or small, makes a big difference toward the health of our public beaches!

Adoption Guidelines

During the pilot phase, all program participants are required to clean their adopted stretch at least three times in one year and report their results back to SOLVE. One of the cleanups may take place during the annual coastwide cleanup events:

What beaches are available for adoption?

SOLVE is currently supporting groups, families or individuals who would like to adopt their favorite stretch of beach in Clatsop or Tillamook County. There are several beaches open for adoption. Please contact SOLVE if you are interested in a specific location.

SOLVE Support for Oregon Adopt-A-Beach Participants Includes:

  • Adopt-a-Beach Cleanup Leader Handbook
  • Training and ongoing project support
  • Project webpage and registration for cleanups open to the public
  • Free cleanup supplies (bags, gloves, sharps container, etc)
  • Small grant assistance of up to $100 a year to supplement on the ground cleanup expenses (limited number of grants available)
