Winco on SE 82nd Avenue - Pick It Up, Portland!

Join us for a litter pick up event along SE 82nd Avenue. This is part of our Pick It Up, Portland! series, a two-day city-wide event focusing on litter removal throughout our community, presented by Pacific Power. We will meet at the Winco and then head out to pick up trash along 82nd and the surrounding neighborhood. This event is family-friendly and open to volunteers of all ages. We hope to see you there! Advanced Registration: Is required. Please sign up (green button below) ahead of time to guarantee your spot.

Meeting Location: Volunteers will be meeting in the parking lot of Winco. Look for the SOLVE signs.

What to Bring: Volunteers are encouraged to bring any personal supplies that will help our resources go further such as garbage bags, work gloves, buckets, trash grabbers, etc. If you bring personal belongings wear a backpack so that you can pick up trash hands free. Wear closed-toed shoes and dress for the weather. Bring a rain jacket if the forecast calls for rain and wear sunscreen and a hat if it is sunny. This event will go on rain or shine. And it is also recommended that volunteers bring a re-usable water bottle to stay hydrated during the event.

What's Provided: SOLVE will provide trash grabbers, trash bags, work gloves, and high-vis vests.

Restrooms: There are restrooms inside Winco.

Parking: Limited parking will be available in the Winco parking lot. There is also street parking.

Transit: Trimet #33 bus stops nearby; get off at the SE 82nd and Monroe/Boyer stop and walk 2 minutes to meeting spot. Trimet #72 bus stops nearby as well; get off at the SE 82nd and Monroe/Boyer stop and walk 2 minutes to meeting spot.

Accessibility: This area is accessible for folks with mobility concerns.

Translation Services: There will not be a Spanish speaker present at this event.

Youth Volunteers: Volunteers between the ages of 13-17 may participate without an authorized adult.
