Springwater Carts Park - Pick It Up, Portland!

Join SOLVE for an amazing litter pickup event focusing on SE 82nd Avenue. Pick It Up, Portland! is a two-day, city-wide event focusing on litter removal throughout our community, presented by Pacific Power. Pick up some trash and then hang out with your fellow volunteers at the Springwater Carts Park (formerly known as Cartlandia). This is a family friendly event open to volunteers of all ages. We hope to see you there!

Advanced Registration: Is required. Please sign up (green button below) ahead of time to guarantee your spot.

Meeting Location: Volunteers will be meeting behind the food cart pod where SE Harney intersects with the Springwater Corridor Trail. Look for the SOLVE signs.

What to Bring: Volunteers are encouraged to bring any personal supplies that will help our resources go further such as garbage bags, work gloves, buckets, trash grabbers, etc. If you bring personal belongings wear a backpack so that you can pick up trash hands free. Wear closed-toed shoes and dress for the weather. Bring a rain jacket if the forecast calls for rain and wear sunscreen and a hat if it is sunny. This event will go on rain or shine. And it is also recommended that volunteers bring a re-usable water bottle to stay hydrated during the event.

What's Provided: SOLVE will provide trash grabbers, trash bags, work gloves, and high-vis vests.

Restrooms: No public restrooms are available

Parking: There will be limited parking at Carlandia and free street parking.

Transit: Trimet #72 bus stops nearby; get off at the SE 82nd and Crystal Springs stop and walk 3 minutes to meeting spot.

Accessibility: This area is accessible for folks with mobility concerns.

Translation Services: There will not be a Spanish speaker present at this event.

Youth Volunteers: Volunteers 13 and under must be accompanied by an authorized adult.
