Road Trip Oregon- Pick It Up! Portland

Join SOLVE and neighborhood volunteers this year for Pick It Up, Portland! This is a two-day, city-wide event focusing on litter removal throughout our community presented by Pacific Power. On Saturday, June 24th we will meet at Road Trip Oregon and pick up trash around 82nd Avenue and the surrounding neighborhoods. Help keep this important thoroughfare that connects so many of Portland's neighborhoods and districts clean to ensure it can be enjoyed by all. This is a family-friendly event open to volunteers of all ages. We hope to see you there!

Advanced Registration: Is required. Please sign up (green button below) ahead of time to guarantee your spot.

Meeting Location: Volunteers will be meeting at Road Trip Oregon. Look for the SOLVE signs!

What to Bring: Volunteers are encouraged to bring any personal supplies that will help our resources go further such as garbage bags, work gloves, buckets, trash grabbers, etc. If you bring personal belongings wear a backpack so that you can pick up trash hands free. Wear closed-toed shoes and dress for the weather. Bring a rain jacket if the forecast calls for rain and wear sunscreen and a hat if it is sunny. This event will go on rain or shine. And it is also recommended that volunteers bring a re-usable water bottle to stay hydrated during the event.

What's Provided: SOLVE will provide trash grabbers, trash bags, work gloves, and high-vis vests.

Restrooms: No public restrooms are available

Parking: Please use the street parking that is available. The parking lot is used for customers/employees.

Transit: Take Max Bus line 77 to NE 81st & Clackamas and walk 1 minutes to Road Trip Oregon.

Accessibility: This area is accessible for folks with mobility concerns.

Translation Services: There will not be a Spanish speaker present at this event.

Youth Volunteers: Volunteers 13 and under must be accompanied by an authorized adult.
