Cameo Motel- Pick It Up! Portland

Pick It Up, Portland! is a two-day, city-wide event focusing on litter removal throughout our community presented by Pacific Power. On Saturday, June 24th, the Cameo Motel location will be 1 of 15 different sites volunteers will be picking up trash along a 7.5-mile stretch of 82nd Avenue. This event will begin at Cameo Motel and focus on 82nd Avenue and the surrounding neighborhoods. Help keep this important thoroughfare that connects so many of Portland's neighborhoods and districts clean to ensure it can be enjoyed by all. This is a family friendly event open to volunteers of all ages.

Advanced Registration: Is required. Please sign up (green button below) ahead of time to guarantee your spot.

Meeting Location: Volunteers will be meeting in the Cameo Motel Parking Lot. Look for the SOLVE signs!

What to Bring: garbage bags, work gloves, buckets, trash grabbers, etc. If you bring personal belongings wear a backpack so that you can pick up trash hands free. Wear closed-toed shoes and dress for the weather. Bring a rain jacket if the forecast calls for rain and wear sunscreen and a hat if it is sunny. This event will go on rain or shine. And it is also recommended that volunteers bring a re-usable water bottle to stay hydrated during the event.

What's Provided: SOLVE will provide trash grabbers, trash bags, work gloves, and high-vis vests.

Restrooms: No public restrooms are available

Parking: Please use the street parking that is available. The parking lot is used for customers/employees.

Transit: Take Max Bus line 12 to NE Sandy & 82nd and walk 1 minutes to the Cameo Motel.

Accessibility: This area is accessible for folks with mobility concerns.

Translation Services: There will not be a Spanish speaker present at this event.

Youth Volunteers: Volunteers 13 and under must be accompanied by an authorized adult.
