Montavilla Park - Pick It Up, Portland!

Join the Montavilla Neighborhood and 82nd Avenue Coalition for a community litter pickup event. SOLVE is happy to host this event as part of Pick It Up, Portland! We will be focusing a lot of love along 82nd Avenue on Saturday, June 24th. Come be part of the action! This is a family friendly event open to volunteers of all ages.

Advanced Registration: Is highly suggested but not required. Please sign up (green button below) ahead of time to guarantee your spot.

Meeting Location: Volunteers will meet in the parking lot of the Community Center in Montavilla Park. Look for the SOLVE signs and table!

What to Bring: Volunteers are encouraged to bring any personal supplies that will help our resources go further such as garbage bags, work gloves, buckets, trash grabbers, etc. If you bring personal belongings wear a backpack so that you can pick up trash hands free. Wear closed-toed shoes and dress for the weather. Bring a rain jacket if the forecast calls for rain and wear sunscreen and a hat if it is sunny. This event will go on rain or shine. And it is also recommended that volunteers bring a re-usable water bottle to stay hydrated during the event.

What's Provided: SOLVE will provide trash grabbers, trash bags, work gloves, and high-vis vests.

Restrooms: Accessible bathrooms are available in the Montavilla Community Center.

Parking: Limited free parking is available in the community center parking lot in Montavilla Park. Additional on-street parking is available on neighborhood streets close to the park. Carpooling and public transportation is recommended.

Transit: Trimet #72 bus line stops nearby; get off at the NE 82nd and Glisan stop and walk 3 minutes to the park. The MAX Green line also stops nearby. Get off at the NE 82nd Avenue station and walk 11 minutes to the park.

Accessibility: This area is accessible for folks with mobility concerns.

Translation Services: There will not be a Spanish speaker present at this event.

Youth Volunteers: Volunteers 13 and under must be accompanied by an authorized adult.
