Good In The Hood Post Parade Cleanup

Join SOLVE and Good in the Hood for a post-parade cleanup in NE Portland. Let's come together to help keep the Hood clean and healthy!
Volunteers will walk the mile and a half parade route following the last act, picking up small trash bags from the sidewalk. Volunteers will have a safety debrief before gathering into groups and beginning the cleanup.

When: Saturday, June 25, 2022, from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM.
Meeting Location: We will meet at Legacy Field, 2 NE Knott Street, one block north of the intersection of N Williams and NE Russell. Look for the SOLVE signs.
Advanced Registration: Please sign up (green button below) ahead of time so you can sign our electronic waiver to help avoid crowding during check-in.​
What you'll need:

• Workboots recommended or sturdy shoes (no lightweight sneakers or open-toed footwear).
• Gear appropriate for the weather conditions (hat, sunscreen, insect repellant, rain gear, etc.)
• A backpack to carry your gear
• Water bottle/snacks

What's Provided: SOLVE will provide trash bags, trash grabbers, work gloves, high-vis vests & disposal.

COVID Safety: Following federal mandate changes, masks are not required but still encouraged to keep our immunocompromised communities safe.

Parking: is available along nearby streets.

Bathrooms: There will be public restrooms available at local businesses during this event.

Accessibility: The check-in location will be in an area that is wheelchair accessible. The majority of the cleanup area is on city sidewalks that are wheelchair accessible.
