Rockwood Preparatory Neighborhood Cleanup
On Saturday, June 18th, from 12p - 2p, as part of Youth Violence Prevention Week, we will be doing a neighborhood cleanup in the surrounding area of Rockwood Preparatory Academy (https://goo.gl/maps/Dq3ponS9QpxXTpiF7). Those who have registered will be able to sign in by the entrance of the school, pick up their cleaning supplies, and start picking up loose trash.
Cleaning supplies that will be provided: trash grabbers, trash bags, work gloves, and high vis-vests.
Please come wearing comfortable close-toed shoes, and bring a filled reusable water bottle. Some parking spaces will be available along the street and school parking lot.
Once volunteers have completed their portion of the cleanup, we will walk over to Vance Park and celebrate from 230p - 5p by having a community picnic, listening to music, interacting with Gresham Police and Fire, and speaking with community-based organizations on available resources.
This is a child-friendly event and highly encourages them to participate. Youth 13 and under will need to be accompanied by an attentive adult. Youth volunteers 17 and under will have to sign a separate youth waiver form if they attend without a parent.
If you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact, emon.ghassemi@greshamoregon.gov
