"Bud Clark's City" Downtown Cleanup

Join SOLVE and community members in a "Bud Clark’s City" themed volunteer downtown cleanup from 10-12PM.

The late Portland Mayor, J.E. “Bud” Clark – and the positive impact he had on the City of Roses that he loved so well -- will be remembered in a public celebration of his life on Sunday, May 15th at 1:00 p.m. in Portland’s Pioneer Courthouse Square. 

When: Sunday, May 15, 2022 from 10-12PM

Meeting Location: Volunteers will meet at Pioneer Courthouse Square, 701 SW 6th Ave, Portland, OR 97205. (MAP LINK)

Advanced Registration: Pre-registration is recommended! Please sign up (Green Button Below) ahead of time so we know how many volunteers to expect and to fill out the volunteer waiver form.

Group Registration: One person can become a team lead and reserve volunteer spots for the rest of the team. Please read our Group Registration Instructions to learn how. 

What you'll need: 

• Workboots recommended or sturdy shoes (no lightweight sneakers or open-toed footwear). 

• Gear appropriate for the weather conditions (hat, sunscreen, insect repellant, rain gear, etc.) 

• Filled reusable water bottle and snacks 

What's Provided: SOLVE will provide trash bags, trash grabbers, work gloves, high-vis vests, and disposal.

COVID Safety: Following federal mandate changes, masks are not required but still encouraged to keep our immunocompromised communities safe.

Parking: Paid parking is available on the city streets.

Restrooms: Public restrooms will not be available during this event. Please plan accordingly.

Youth Volunteers: This event is family-friendly and open to all ages.

Youth are welcome if accompanied by an attentive adult. Youth volunteers ages 14-17 can come without their guardian if their guardian prints and signs a youth waiver form and the youth volunteer brings it with them. Youth Waiver Form
