Earth Day Community Cleanup with Miller Paint
Join the CEIC and Miller Paint for a cleanup event to kick off the weekend of Earth Day events!
This event will feature a community cleanup with support from SOLVE Oregon and a paint & plastics drive.
Miller Paint and Ridwell are hosting an Earth Day 2022 Paint + Plastics Drive for Portland area households to drop off used latex paint, plastic film like produce bags and bubble wrap, and clear plastic clamshells to be recycled. Bring your items to the event to recycle!
Light refreshments will be provided along with opportunities to win prizes from Central Eastside businesses.
When: Friday, April 22nd | 9:00am - 1:00pm
Check In: 9:00 - 9:30am for check in. Event will run until 1:00 pm.
Getting There/ Parking: Walking/biking/taking Trimet to the event is encouraged. Metered and visitor parking is available in surrounding blocks.
What to Bring: Please come wearing a mask, long pants, and closed-toed shoes. If you have your own gloves, litter grabber, litter bag or bucket, you are encouraged to bring those as well. Please also dress for the weather. This event will go on rain or shine.
Youth Volunteers: Children are welcome if accompanied by an attentive adult. Youth volunteers ages 13-17 can also create their own SOLVE account online. A youth volunteer can attend without their guardian if they print out and bring a signed youth waiver form. Find the link to the youth waiver form here.
