NEXT ADVENTURE Community Cleanup for 'Pick it Up, Portland!'
Pick It Up, Portland! is a two-day, city-wide event focusing on litter removal throughout our communities. Help keep our city and environment clean to ensure it can be enjoyed by all!

When: Saturday, June 25, 2022. Event check-in will begin at 9 AM. The event runs through noon.
At this event, you may encounter or be exposed to the following elements (a complete safety briefing will be held for all participants):
Close proximity to active unhoused communities.
Close proximity to abandoned unhoused encampments.
The presence of used hypodermic needles among the garbage.
Other hazardous materials such as bio-waste.
Meeting Location: Volunteers will be meeting at the NEXT ADVENTURE Paddle Store, located at 624 SE 7th Ave., Portland, 97214. Look for the NEXT ADVENTURE tent, SOLVE signs, and check-in tables.
What you'll need:
Workboots recommended or sturdy shoes (no lightweight sneakers or open-toed footwear).
Gear appropriate for the weather conditions (hat, sunscreen, insect repellant, rain gear, etc.)
What's Provided: SOLVE will provide trash bags, trash pickers, work gloves, high-vis vests & disposal.
COVID Safety: Following federal mandate changes, masks are not required but still encouraged to keep our immunocompromised communities safe.
Restrooms: Restrooms will be available at the check-in location.
Parking: Street parking is available.
Transit: Bus lines #6, 12, 19, 20 and the Portland Streetcar are within walking distance of the meeting location.
Accessibility: This is an accessible event for those with mobility concerns.
Youth: Volunteers from 13 to 17 years old are required to have an adult with them for the full duration of the event.
