Bay City Spring Cleanup
This event is part of the Oregon Spring Cleanup, presented by Portland General Electric. Join SOLVE, the City of Bay City and the Port of Garibaldi from 1 PM – 3 PM for our spring cleanup! We will also host a similar event at the Port of Garibaldi immediately preceeding this one from 10 AM - 12 PM. Join us for one or both events.
Volunteers will be assigned to specific areas around the Port property on the West side of Highway 101 by the Fish Peddler restaurant to clean up debris and garbage along the water's edge and in the surrounding parking lot. Areas are muddy, rocky, and on uneven ground. There will be additional locations on the East side of Highway 101 near the Al Griffin Memorial Park located at the corner of 4th & Trade Street Bay City, OR.
The main meet-up area will be outside the Fish Peddler located at 5150 Hayes Oyster Dr, Bay City, OR 97107.
Please come wearing comfortable closed-toe shoes and bring a filled reusable water bottle. Snacks/drinks are available for purchase at the Fish Peddler. Be prepared for the variable Oregon coast weather.
You are encouraged to bring your own reusable bucket/bag and gloves. If you happen to forget, SOLVE will provide bags and gloves. If you bring personal belongings please bring a backpack so you can pick up trash hands-free.
This spring cleanup is family-friendly and pet-friendly, and volunteers of all ages will find the event fun and rewarding.
