Cleanup at NE 82nd Ave Starting at Montavilla Park

Come together with SOLVE / Detrash Portland and community members for a cleanup along NE 82nd Ave. in the Montavilla - Hazelwood Neighborhoods starting at Montavilla Park! This event will be entirely outdoors and will comply with social distancing guidelines. After a safety talk and getting cleanup supplies, we will spend a couple of hours picking up litter in the neighborhood to improve our community and protect our ecosystem. Join us in making Portland a better place!

This event will be a mix of a Urgent Need event and a family friendly neighborhood event. SOLVE defines an Urgent Need cleanup as an area with a high concentration of litter that poses a threat to public safety and environmental quality. Typically Urgent Need cleanups not family friendly or suitable for anyone under the age of 18 due to an increased presence of hazardous materials. However, if you would like to bring your child to this event, we can send them to an area where there is less of a likelyhood to encounter hazardous materials. Safety guidelines will be put in place before the cleanup begins.

During this cleanup, you will work with SOLVE staff in a small groups to clean up the trash in the area around Montavilla Park and the surrounding neighborhood.

This project is funded in part from a grant from Travel Oregon.
