Concordia Neighborhood Litter Pick Up
Join SOLVE, the Concordia Neighborhood Association, and community members for a litter cleanup in the Concordia Neighborhood on Saturday, December 4th from 9:00 am - Noon starting at NE Ainsworth and NE 22nd Ave.
Help keep our streets clean, enjoy some time outside and do something great for the city we love! Volunteers will check-in, gear up, and then spread out into the nearby streets. Please note that this event is a litter cleanup and will not include graffiti removal.
When: Saturday, December 4th, 9:00 am - Noon
Staggered Check In: Event check in will run from 9:00 - 9:30am. Arrive any time during this window. This will allow for a smaller crowd than checking in all at once. The event will end at noon.
Meeting Location: Volunteers will be meeting at Alberta Park near the Ainsworth and NE 22nd Ave intersection.
Look for a tent and SOLVE signs to guide you to the check in tables.
What's Provided: SOLVE will provide trash grabbers, trash bags, work gloves, and high-vis vests.
What to Bring: Dress for the weather, wear closed-toed shoes, and long pants. Bring a water-proof jacket if the weather calls for rain. Also bring your cell phone, and a filled reusable water bottle. If you bring personal belongings please bring a backpack so you can pick up trash hands-free.
COVID Safety: Masks are required at check-in and outdoors when you cannot keep 6 ft distance.
Restrooms: Public restrooms will be available during this event.
Advanced Registration: Pre-registration is required! Please sign up (Green Button Below) ahead of time so we know how many volunteers to expect and to fill out the volunteer waiver form.
Parking: Parking is be available on surrounding side-streets.
Accessibility: The check-in location will be in an area that is wheelchair accessible. The majority of the cleanup area is on city sidewalks that are wheelchair accessible.
Youth Volunteers: This event is family-friendly and open to kids and adults of all ages. Volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult. Youth volunteers ages 13-17 can also create their own SOLVE account online. A youth volunteer can attend without their guardian if they print out and bring a signed youth waiver form.
