Happy Valley Park Cleanup!
Join us on Thursday, October 15th as we clean up litter from Happy Valley Park! This event is part of the SOLVE Waterway Cleanup Series, in partnership with Clackamas Water Environment Services.
This cleanup will focus on the wetland and nearby streets at Happy Valley Park.
Happy Valley Park is part of the Clackamas River watershed, home to a variety of bird species, including blue heron, cormorant, bald eagles, and osprey. Salmon and steelhead populate the river as well as the nearby Willamette River. We will be removing harmful litter from the watershed, helping to keep our rivers, wildlife, and natural areas clean and healthy!

Event check-in will run from 2:00 - 2:30 PM. Arrive anytime during this window. This will allow for a smaller crowd than checking in all at once. Once checked in, volunteers will head in different directions to cover the trail, the park, and nearby streets. The event will run through 4:30 PM.
What to Bring:
All cleanup supplies will be provided, but please come wearing a face covering and closed-toe shoes, with a filled, reusable water bottle and sunscreen. If you have your own gloves, litter grabber, and litter bag or bucket, you are encouraged to bring those as well. Observe social distancing throughout the cleanup.
Volunteers will meet at Happy Valley Park. Free parking is available here. Look for the SOLVE signs to find the check-in table. MAP.
