Manzanita Beach Cleanup
North County Racial and Social Justice is excited to bring you the Annual Fall SOLVE’s Beach & Riverside Cleanup on Saturday, September 19th from 10:00am-1:00pm in Manzanita on the Oregon Coast, in partnership with SOLVE! Dress for rain or shine and wear sturdy shoes. SOLVE will provide bags and gloves. However, volunteers are encouraged to bring their own reusable bucket/bag, gloves, and water bottle to help reduce plastic waste. Don’t forget about the small stuff! The #1 items found on Oregon beaches are tiny bits of plastic and cigarette butts, which are harmful to shore birds and marine life. Bring an old colander to sift the sand for these items. Please remember our ocean shores can be dangerous. Avoid logs in the water and marine mammals, and never turn your back on the ocean! Please keep dogs on a leash. If you find any hazardous material, please alert your Beach Captain. This event is a long running statewide movement to protect and improve Oregon's watersheds. So, grab a friend, or a family members, join us in the cleanup efforts on the beautiful Manzanita Beach!!🌊
