Invasive Plant Removal, Trail Maintenance

Age Minimum (with Adult): 1+, Minimum Age:8+

Adopt A Park-Takena Landing Weed Pulling

Takena Landing is a park and boat ramp on the Benton County side of the Willamette River in Albany, Oregon. There is an established trail along the river which is shaded by surrounding trees.  Over the years the trail has been neglected. As a result there needs to be a weed pulling party. The park's adopter, John Klock is a professional botanist with the Federal Government. He has extensive experience in invasive weeds, plants, and trees.  Last year he directed volunteer crews on the opposite side of the river to remove ivy that was chocking out old growth trees in Bryant Park.
