SOLVE Neighborhood Cleanup Event with JOIN
Join SOLVE and JOIN to keep our Northeast Neighborhood trash free!
We will have part of our group picking up trash in the Madison South and Montavilla neighborhoods along NE 82nd and Halsey Avenue.
JOIN exists to support the efforts of individuals and families experiencing homelessness to transition into permanent housing.
Let's work together to support JOIN by keeping the neighborhood around their office looking nice.
This project has been funded in part by a grant from Travel Oregon.
Date & Time: Saturday, August 28, 2021 from 10 am to 12:30 pm.
Advanced Registration Required: Pre-registration is required! Please sign up (green button below) ahead of time so you can sign our electronic waiver to help avoid crowding during check-in.
Meeting Location: Meet in the parking lot to the JOIN Offices.

This location is very accessible by public transportation. The JOIN offices are withing walking distance from Trimet Bus Line #77 and the Blue, Green, and Red Max Lines.
What's Provided: Volunteers will be provided with work gloves, high-vis vests, garbage bags, and litter grabbers. We will also be providing water and snacks to volunteers.
What to Bring: Please wear boots or comfortable closed-toed shoes. Pants are also encouraged. Bring gloves and a litter grabber if you have them. Otherwise, we will provide them for you. If it is a hot day, please wear sunscreen, a hat, and bring a filled reusable water bottle. If you do bring personal belongings, also bring a backpack to store them while you pick up trash.
COVID Safety: Masks are now required at check-in and outdoors when you cannot keep 6 ft distance.
Youth Volunteers: Children are welcome if accompanied by an attentive adult. Youth volunteers ages 13-17 will have to have their guardian sign a separate youth waiver form if they are attending a SOLVE event without a guardian. Find the link to the youth waiver form here. Bathrooms: Volunteers will have access to restrooms at the JOIN offices.
Accessibility: The clean-up take place primarily on city sidewalks. Persons with mobility concerns will be able to participate in this event.
