Urgent Needs Cleanup Event at N Hancock & N Flint
Join SOLVE at North Hancock & North Flint for a cleanup in an urgent-need area in North Portland.
SOLVE defines an Urgent Need cleanup as an area with a high concentration of litter that poses a threat to public safety and environmental quality. Urgent Need cleanups are not family friendly or suitable for anyone under the age of 18 due to an increased presence of hazardous materials. Safety guidelines will be put in place before the cleanup begins.
There is an access point to ODOT property along I-5 that has become a targeted dumping ground. Join us on September 17th! Many hands make light work! During this cleanup, you will work with SOLVE staff in small groups to clean up piles of trash in the area. This event will take place on the side of a road. We will mark off our work space with cones.
Lunch will be provided! Paris Group Reality is purchasing Tamale Boy Burrito bowls for all volunteers for this event.
This project has been funded in part by a grant from Travel Oregon.
