Central Eastside (CEIC) riverside cleanup event with Subaru of Portland
Join together with Subaru of Portland and community members to clean up the Willamette riverfront. SOLVE's Beach and River Cleanup is a state-wide event presented by focusing on litter removal next to our beautiful waterways. This event is a litter cleanup and will not include graffiti removal. Help keep Portland clean and healthy to ensure it can be enjoyed by all!
Masks or face coverings are required at check-in and at any time where social-distancing is not possible.
When: Saturday, September 25, 2021, 9:00 AM - 11:30 AM
Staggered Check-In: Event check-in will run from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM. Arrive any time during this window. This will allow for a smaller crowd than checking in all at once. The event will run through 11:30 AM.
Advanced Registration Required: Pre-registration is required! Please sign up (green button below) ahead of time so you can sign our electronic waiver to help avoid crowding during check-in.
Meeting Location: Volunteers will be meeting in OMSI south parking lot.

What's Provided: Heavy-duty garbage bags, litter grabbers, safety vests, and work gloves are provided for all participants.
What to Bring: Please come wearing closed-toed shoes. If it is a hot day, please come wearing sunscreen and consider bringing a hat and a filled reusable water bottle. If you bring personal belongins, please make sure to also bring a backpack so your hands are free to pick up trash. Feel free to bring the following items to help us reduce the number of disposable supplies we distribute: Garden or work gloves, litter grabber.
Parking: Paid street parking is available near the meeting location.
Bathrooms: There will be porta-potties available during this event. Please plan accordingly.
Accessibility: The check-in location will be in an area that is wheelchair accessible. The majority of the cleanup area is on city sidewalks that are wheelchair accessible.
Youth Volunteers: Youth are welcome if accompanied by an attentive adult. Youth volunteers ages 14-17 can come without their guardian if their guardian prints and signs a youth waiver form and the youth volunteer brings it with them. Find the link to youth waiver form here. Youth Waiver Form
