Litter Cleanup

Age Minimum (with Adult): 18+, Minimum Age:18+

Downtown Portland Cleanup - I-405

Portland is a strong, resilient city, but it needs help. Join SOLVE for a day of downtown litter cleanups to beautify our city, keep our waterways clean, and protect local wildlife from the harmful effects of trash. Enjoy the sights of downtown Portland and know that the work you are engaging in has many benefits for our community, our local businesses, and our environment!

Please note that this cleanup area is not family-friendly or suitable for anyone under the age of 18 due to an increased presence of hazardous materials in this area. Safety guidelines will be put in place before the cleanup begins
. The other 3 cleanup sites in downtown are open to families and people under 18 years of age

This event was made possible through support from Plaid Pantry. SOLVE also would like to give thanks to our partners at the Portland Business Alliance and the Portland Lodging Alliance.

When: Wednesday, July 21, 2021
Staggered Check-In: Event check-in will run from 8:45 AM to 9:30 AM. Arrive any time during this window. This will allow for a smaller crowd than checking in all at once. The event will run through 11:30 AM.
Advanced Registration Required: Pre-registration is required! Please sign up (green button below) ahead of time so you can sign our electronic waiver to help avoid crowding during check-in.
Meeting Location: Volunteers will meet at The Old Church Concert Hall at 1422 SW 11th Ave, Portland, OR. Look for SOLVE signs and the check-in table. Volunteers will check-in and then spread out into the nearby parks and streets. MAP.

The other 3 downtown cleanup sites are family-friendly.

Don't forget to donate to Project C.A.R.E.S

Throughout the month of July, Plaid Pantry is showing their support for the local community by inviting shoppers to donate to either SOLVE or Sunshine Division at any of their Portland-metro retailers. The next time you stop for a cold drink, or a snack, don't forget to ask to donate to Project C.A.R.E.S! You can purchase a $1 donation slip at the counter and dedicate your gift to either non-profit. Together, we are taking care of Oregon!
