Litter Cleanup

Age Minimum (with Adult): 1+, Minimum Age:14+

Foster Floodplain Natural Area & Springwater Corridor trail Cleanup


Join Portland Parks & Recreation and SOLVE for this Pick It Up, Portland! event. Picking up litter beautifies our public spaces and keeps trash out of nearby Johnson Creek. Everyone welcome, and no experience necessary! We are still following Covid-19 protocol, including wearing a face covering and keeping 6 foot distance from each other at events.


Pre Registration is Required: Due to COVID restrictions, we will only be opening the event to a limited number of volunteers. If you would like to participate, please sign up (Green Sign Up Button Below) quickly before spots run out.
When: Saturday, June 26, 9:00 AM-noon
Meeting Location: A reminder email sent to registered participants will include the exact meeting location.
What's Provided: All tools & supplies- heavy-duty garbage bags, vinyl gloves +etc.
What to Bring: Please come wearing a face covering, long pants, sun hat, closed-toed shoes, a backpack, and a filled reusable water bottle. Observe social distancing throughout the cleanup.
Restrooms: There will be a porta-potty that is onsite for this event.
Tri-met: Bus #73 or #14

Parking: There will be free parking. Don’t leave valuables in your vehicle.
Email Reminder: A Reminder email will be sent to registered participants a few days before the event from Susan/PP&R. Watch for and read the Reminder email, and please cancel your reservation on the SOLVE website if you aren’t able to attend, as space is very limited and we may have people on our waiting list. Thank you!
Youth Volunteers: Children are welcome if accompanied by an attentive adult. Youth volunteers ages 13-17 can also create their own SOLVE account online. Accessibility: The check-in area and majority of the work area will be in areas that are wheelchair accessible.
