Legacy Emanuel and Legacy Randall Neighborhood Pick-Up
Please join us for a Neighborhood Litter pick-up around Legacy Emanuel and Legacy Randall.
Cleaning up Portland one Neighborhood at a time!
Volunteer to help clean up the neighborhood surrounding Legacy Emanuel and Randall medical centers. Both facilities are nestled in the Eliot Neighborhood, including nearby Dawson Park, Vancouver Avenue Baptist Church, and many historical homes and small businesses.
We have priority areas for clean-up. When you a finished, you will drop off your bagged litter in dumpsters at the registration area.
When: Saturday May 8, 10:00am - 12:00pm
Meeting Location: 2801 N. Gantenbein, main entrance of Legacy Emanuel. MAP LINK.
What's Provided: Heavy-duty garbage bags, litter grabbers, high-vis vests, and gloves are provided to all participants that need them.
What to Bring: Please come wearing a mask, long pants, and closed-toed shoes. If you have your own gloves, litter grabber, litter bag or bucket, you are encouraged to bring those as well. Bring water, snacks. There will be some water and snacks at the registration area.
Pre-registration required: Staff, physicians, family (13 and up) friends are welcome. No experience necessary. Many hands make light work. Please sign up ahead of time to know how many volunteers to expect and fill out the volunteer waiver form.
COVID Safety: All volunteers are instructed to wear a face covering and to observe social distancing throughout the cleanup. Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an attentive adult.
Restrooms: Portable restrooms are available (ADA accessible). The clean-up is ADA assessable. It’s throughout the neighborhood.
Youth Volunteers: Children are welcome if accompanied by an attentive adult. Youth volunteers ages 13-17 can also create their own SOLVE account online. A youth volunteer can attend without their guardian if they print out and bring a signed youth waiver form. Find the link to the youth waiver form here.
