SE Buckman Cleanup at Revolution Hall

If you live in the SE Buckman neighborhood and want to take part in a community-led effort to clean up litter around the spaces where we walk our dogs and take evening strolls, then we need you! Spring is here and that means longer days with sun and more opportunities to build camaraderie with our neighbors. Meet us at Revolution Hall! Bags, gloves, and sticks to pick up trash will be available. Please bring your own water, hand sanitizer, and a snack. Most importantly, bring a can-do attitude and be ready to beautify our streets.

When: Saturday, April 17th, 9:00am - 12:00pm

Where: We will meet at Revolution Hall, 1300 SE Stark St. in Portland, along the west side of the building at the edge of the park. Look for SOLVE signs and a check in table. MAP LINK.

Advanced Registration: Pre-registration is required! Please sign up (Green Button Below) ahead of time to fill out the volunteer waiver form electronically so we can avoid crowding at the check in table (COVID-19 safety).
Getting There/ Parking: Walking/biking/ taking Trimet to the event is encouraged. Paid parking is available on the street, or in nearby parking garages.

What's Provided: Heavy-duty garbage bags, litter grabbers and rubber palmed work gloves are provided to all participants that need them.

What to Bring: Please come wearing a face covering, and closed-toed shoes. We recommend you bring a filled reusable water bottle in case you get thirsty. All cleanup supplies will be provided by SOLVE. You are welcome to bring the following items to help us reduce the number of disposable supplies we distribute: reusable bag or 5-gallon bucket, garden or work gloves, and litter grabber.

COVID Safety: Wear a face covering. Observe social distancing throughout the cleanup. Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an attentive adult.

Restrooms: Public restrooms may be available at Revolution Hall and nearby shops. Please plan accordingly.

Accessibility: The check in location will be located in an area that is wheelchair accessible. The majority of the work area for the cleanup will be on city streets and sidewalks that are wheelchair accessible.
