Corporate Sustainability Collaborative Earth Month Cleanup!
Join together with SOLVE and the Corporate Sustainability Collaborative to clean up downtown Portland, the waterfront, and the surrounding neighborhood. Volunteers will gather in the parking lot of the SOLVE office to check-in, get cleanup gear and then head out to pick up trash. Families are welcome to attend. Let’s come together and make a real impact during Earth Month! NOTE: Graffiti removal will not be a part of this event.
When: Friday, April 9th
Staggered Check-In: Event check-in will run from 1:00 to 1:30 PM. Arrive any time during this window. This will allow for a smaller crowd than checking in all at once. The event will run through 3:30 PM.
Advanced Registration Required: Pre-registration is required! Please sign up (green button below) ahead of time so you can sign our electronic waiver to help avoid crowding during check-in.
Meeting Location: Meet in the parking lot of the SOLVE office to check-in. Its the parking lot on the north side of the building, closest to downtown. Look for SOLVE signs and a check-in table. 2000 SW First Ave, Portland. MAP LINK
What’s Provided: We will provide all volunteers with trash grabbers, trash bags, works gloves, and high-vis vests.
What to Bring: All volunteers must wear a MASK! Please also come wearing comfortable closed-toed shoes and your own pair of work gloves if you have them. We recommend bringing a filled reusable water bottle and if you are bringing anything else pack them in a backpack to keep your hands-free during events. Please also dress for the weather.
Parking: Paid parking is available across the street from the SOLVE office at 1911 SW First Ave Garage. Park here, then walk across the street to the SOLVE office to check in. MAP LINK
Bathrooms: Public bathrooms will not be available during this event. Please plan accordingly.
Accessibility: The check-in area is in a place that is wheelchair accessible. Much of the cleanup work will take place on city sidewalks that are wheelchair accessible, although they are on steep hills. Please reach out if you have any questions or a need for accommodations. We will do our best to support you.
