Inner N/NE Parks Cleanup Event
The Albina Rotary Club and SOLVE Oregon needs civic-minded volunteers to join in service to pick up trash in our neighborhood parks. All our welcome!
This event will be entirely outdoors and will comply with social distancing guidelines. After a safety talk and getting cleanup supplies, we will spend a couple of hours picking up litter in the neighborhood to improve our community. Join us in making our little corner of Portland a cleaner place!
When: Saturday April 10th, 9:00am - 11:00 am
Advanced Registration: Pre-registration is required! Please sign up (Green Button Below) ahead of time so we know how many volunteers to expect, and to fill out the volunteer waiver form.
Where: We will meet at Patton Square City Park. Look for SOLVE signs and a check in station. MAP LINK.
Getting There/ Parking: Walking/biking/taking Trimet to the event is encouraged. Free parking is available in the park parking lot.
What's Provided: Heavy-duty garbage bags, litter grabbers, high-vis vests, and vinyl gloves are provided to all participants that need them.
What to Bring: All volunteers must wear a MASK! Please also come wearing comfortable closed-toed shoes and your own pair of work gloves if you have them. We recommend bringing a filled reusable water bottle and if you are bringing anything else pack them in a backpack to keep your hands-free during events. Please also dress for the weather.
COVID Safety: Wear a face covering. Observe social distancing throughout the cleanup. This event will be limited to a low number of volunteers. All attendees will also be reminded to stay 6 feet apart from each other at all times. This event will take place entirely outdoors.
Restrooms: Public restrooms at the park may be closed. There are several businesses that may have a bathroom available on Interstate. Please plan accordingly.
Accessibility: The check-in area is in a place that is wheelchair accessible. Most of the cleanup work will take place on city sidewalks that are wheelchair accessible. Please reach out if you have any questions or a need for accommodations. We will do our best to support you.
Youth Volunteers: Children are welcome if accompanied by an attentive adult. Youth volunteers ages 13-17 will have to have their guardian sign a separate youth waiver form if they are attending a SOLVE event without a guardian. Find the link to the youth waiver form here.
