Northwest Industrial Cleanup Event (Se habla español)
SOLVE / Detrash Portland needs civic-minded volunteers for another trash pickup event. Litter cleanup beautifies our city and keeps garbage from ending up in our waterways. Let’s come together and make a real impact.
After checking in and handing out equipment we will head out into the northwest industrial area to pick up trash. This event was made possible by the Metro Community Enhancement Grant.
Pre Registration is Required: Due to the COVID restrictions, we will only be opening the event to a limited number of volunteers. If you would like to participate please sign up (Green Sign Up Button Below) quickly before spots run out.
Date: Saturday, February 27th
Time: 10 am to 12:30 pm.
Meeting Location: The Emerald Line restaurant parking lot in the northeast corner. Look for the signs and volunteers wearing high-vis vests. MAP LINK
Address: 1800 NW 16th Ave, Portland, OR 97209
What’s Provided: We will provide all volunteers with trash grabbers, trash bags, works gloves, and high-vis vests.
What to Bring: All volunteers must wear a MASK! Please also come wearing comfortable closed-toed shoes and your own pair of work gloves if you have them. We recommend bringing a filled reusable water bottle and if you are bringing anything else pack them in a backpack to keep your hands-free during events. Please also dress for the weather.

Bathrooms: There are no public bathrooms available at this location.
Accessibility: The check-in area is in a place that is wheelchair accessible. Most of the cleanup work will take place on city sidewalks that are wheelchair accessible. Please reach out if you have any questions or a need for accommodations. We will do our best to support you.
Youth Volunteers: Children are welcome if accompanied by an attentive adult. Youth volunteers ages 13-17 will have to have their guardians sign a separate youth waiver form if they are attending a SOLVE event without a guardian. Find the link to youth waiver form here.
