PSU Park Blocks Pick Up
Come together with community members for a cleanup in the Portland State University Park Blocks and the surrounding streets downtown. This event will be entirely outdoors and will comply with social distancing guidelines. After a safety talk and getting cleanup supplies, we will spend a couple of hours picking up litter to improve our community and protect our ecosystem. Join us in making Portland a better place!
When: Saturday February 20th, 10:00am - 12:00pm
Advanced Registration: Pre-registration is required! Please sign up (Green Button Below) ahead of time so we know how many volunteers to expect and to fill out the volunteer waiver form.
Where: We will meet at the PSU Children's Playground. Look for SOLVE signs and a check-in station. MAP LINK
Getting There/ Parking: Walking/biking/taking Trimet to the event is encouraged. There is paid parking on the city streets or in nearby parking garages.
What's Provided: Heavy-duty garbage bags, litter grabbers, and vinyl gloves are provided to all participants that need them.
What to Bring: Please come wearing closed-toed shoes and bring a filled reusable water bottle. If you have your own gloves, litter grabber, litter bag or bucket, you are encouraged to bring those as well.
COVID Safety: Wear a face covering. Observe social distancing throughout the cleanup. Children are welcome but must be accompanied by an attentive adult.
Restrooms: No public restrooms will be available during this event. Please plan accordingly.
Accessibility: The check-in will take place in a location that is wheelchair accessible. The majority of the cleanup will take place in areas that are on public sidewalks, which are wheelchair accessible.
