Wetlands like Olson are vital wildlife habitat and help control floods, clean pollution from water, and have lots of great downstream benefits. Added bonus: you'll get a taste of a cool and under-visited wetland area. Even better, this project will provide access to nature for folks who often don't have good access to the benefits of a healthy environment.

Dress for the weather, bring rubber boots, work gloves, and clippers is you have them (we'll have extras too). Please park in any available space on the street or int eh RiverGlen Apartments lot.

This event is one of many Orca Recovery Day events throughout the Pacific Norhwest on October 19th, recognizing the importance of healthy watersheds to support increasing salmon populations to feed the endangered Southern Resident Orca whales. Partners are Northwest Housing Alternatives, SOLVE, Clackamas Soil & Water Conservation District, Bonneville Environmental Foundation, One Tree Planted, and Promise the Pod.
