Fall Creek/Winberry Watershed Clean-up
Fall Creek and Winberry Watersheds are located within the Willamette National Forest and feed the middle fork of the Willamette. These natural areas see a lot of dispersed camping activities and, unfortunately, dumping. It is the Mission of Friends of Fall Creek Watershed to clean and maintain these areas. Please join us in our stewardship.
Solve provides bags and nitrile gloves. We provide a few grabbers and other pick-up utensils. We recommend bringing shovels, rakes, grabbers and buckets. You should wear clothing that you will be capable of working both on and off the trail and along the creek side. We highly recommend close-toed boots or similar sturdy walking shoes. There is a potential for broken glass and sharp metal. Occasionally we do find needles. We may also find and dispose of human waste and toilets.
Make sure to bring plenty of water and snacks.
If bringing children or dogs they must be under your supervision at all times. We recommend dogs be on leash. This is a family friendly event. Everyone needs to use their best judgement and practice good safety. We will give instructions and directions at the meet-up point. We will have a first aid kit on hand.
