Let's Pull Together - Bryant Park
Let's Pull Together to help reduce noxious weeds!
English ivy is a noxious weed that threatens the trees at our riverfront park. This aggressive invasive species is an evergreen, woody vine with dark green, lobed leaves that climb up trees and shade them out. If left unchecked, a tree will die and can even topple from the weight of the vines. At this event, volunteers will be removing this invasive ivy from trees.
Snacks and refreshments will be provided.
Please bring work gloves, wear a long sleeve shirt, long pants, and sturdy shoes.
Event co-hosted by Benton County Cooperative Weed Management Area members: City of Albany Parks and Recreation and and Willamette Restoration Volunteers.
Please bring work gloves and dress for the weather. Wear long-sleeved clothes and closed-toe sturdy shoes. There may be poison oak at this site.
Recommended for ages 6+. All volunteers under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
Meet at Bryan Park, 801 Bryant Way SW, Albany, OR - map
