Let's Pull Together - Mill Race Afternoon Restoration
Join us to help reduce the spread of invasive weeds and remove debris that threaten native habitats and wildlife. Sustainability Coalition Water Action Team is partnering with City of Corvallis and Marys River Watershed Council to remove invasive plants and debris along the Mill Race managed by the City of Corvallis. We will be staging in the CrossFit parking lot (CrossFit Train and property owner permission granted).
Light snacks (juice, water, muffins) will be provided. If bad weather prevails canopies and warm drinks (hot chocolate, coffee) will be provided.
Bring: Boots, gardening gloves, coat, hat, coffee mug.
Event co-hosted by Benton County Cooperative Weed Management Area members: City of Corvallis, Corvallis Sustainability Coalition Water Action Team, and Marys River Watershed Council.
Poison oak may be present and some weeds have thorns or toxic sap - please be prepared with protective gloves or use those provided. Please wear long sleeve shirt, long pants, closed-toe sturdy footwear.
Recommended for ages 12+, anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult.
