Restore Habitat in Woodmont Park!
Ivy, Blackberries and Swordferns...oh my! Put on your ruby gardening boots and help us restore this natural habitat! Friends of Woodmont Park invite you to join them as they remove invasive species and then plant native species. We have pruners, shovels, gloves and snacks....all you need is your helping hands! This natural area includes an old orchard, meadow and woodland and is home to owls, deer, birds of prey and many important pollinators. Dress for the weather and bring water to drink! No experience needed. Park near the intersection of Knaus Rd. and Atwater Rd. Follow the gravel access road along the orchard to the work site. Look for work party signs.
