Gateway Green Cleanup
Help us remove litter/trash at Gateway Green, a new community park in east Portland. We'll also be picking up litter along the I-205 Multi-Use Path adjacent to the park.
Location: Gateway Green
Directions: Gateway Green is located along the I-205 Multi-Use Path, north of NE Halsey St. Best access is via foot or bike from the Gateway Transit Center (9900 NE Multnomah St). The transit center is served by the Blue, Green and Red MAX lines; it is also served by bus lines: 15, 19, 22, 23, 24, 25, 87 and the Columbia Area Transit. Line 77 stops nearby on NE Halsey at 100th. When traveling by auto, the easiest way to access the transit center is from NE 102nd, via Pacific St.
Driving From Downtown Portland - I-84 east to Halsey St. (exit 7), keep right and follow signs to NE 99th Ave and continue to the park and ride parking structure, on your right. Driving From North or South – I-205 toward I-84/Portland/Salem, take Glisan St. exit 21, south on NE Glisan St., left onto NE 99th Ave., Because Gateway Green is only accessible from the I-205 bike/ped path, there is no parking on site; the walk/bike ride is about 1/2 mile to the park work site.
Parking: Parking is available curbside/on-street near Gateway Green at NE 99th, NE 100th, and NE Pacific near Gateway Transit Center. From the Gateway Transit Center, cross all three MAX tracks, then walk north on the I-205 path -- toward Rocky Butte. Look for event signs, and a canopy with Gateway Green banner and signs near the path.
