Ivy Pull on Trillium Creek Trail, West Linn
Trillium Creek is a 16.6 acre green space on a ravine in West Linn. It has a rough trail and some sloped areas. Ivy has invaded 90% of ground and about 30% of trees. In some areas the ivy reaches the tree crowns. The trillium the creek is named for are mostly covered, along with other native plants. The ivy has spread over the years and the goal of the project is to eradicate then maintain with monthly work for as long as it takes to restore the green space.
The area of the pull is shaded and pleasant even in hot weather.
The Project will provide some tools, but volunteers may bring their own. Drinks and light snacks will be provided.
We will meet starting at 8:45am in the park located at 6400 Palomino Way in West Linn. Parking is available on neighborhood streets.
Look for the SOLVE signs and check-in table. If you have trouble finding the check-in location, contact the project leader, Eleanor Wynn, at 503-970-6634.
