Ivy Pull on Trillium Creek Trail, West Linn
Trillium Creek is a 16.6 acre green space on a ravine in West Linn. It has a rough trail and some sloped areas. Ivy has invaded 90% of ground and about 30% of trees. In some areas the ivy reaches the tree crowns. The trillium the creek is named for are mostly covered, along with other native plants.The ivy has spread over the years and the goal of the project is to eradicate then maintain with monthly work for as long as it takes to restore the green space.
The area of the pull is shaded and pleasant even in hot weather.
The Project will provide some tools, but volunteers may bring their own. Drinks and light snacks will be provided.
Location: Meet at the downhill corner of Palomino Circle and Pimlico Dr. in West Linn. If you have trouble finding the check-in location, contact the project leader, Eleanor Wynn, at 503-970-6634.
Directions: The first pull section will be above the apartments at the bottom of Pimlico Drive. There is street parking on Palomino Circle, just above the trail entrance. Coordinators will meet people at the corner of Palomino Circle and Pimlico.
