Let's Pull Together - Pull Together for Trails May 18th

Let's Pull Together for Trails at Bald Hill Farm! This trail system is a popular gateway to natural areas, come show it some love! The activity: patching damaged sections of trail, re-engineering an eroded switchback. We’ll be shoveling gravel and moving it up to 1 mile in motorized toters. Hand tools will be used to apply gravel to trails.
What it takes to participate: Being active at your own pace for several hours. Hiking up to 6 miles on uneven natural surface trail where some poison oak is present, carrying hand tools and gear. Shoveling, steering a motorized toter for up to one mile, lifting, bending, raking. Want to help with both trail work and weed removal? Join us Saturday May 19th for part II of Pull Together for Trails!
Event co-hosted by Benton County Cooperative Weed Management Area members: Greenbelt Land Trust, Heart of the Valley Runners, and Benton County.
Location is at TBA site in Bald Hill Farm/Fitton Green Natural areas. Directions will be sent to registered participants prior to the event.
Safety: Rough, uneven natural surfaces. Poison oak may be present. Loud equipment.
Please bring protective gloves or use those provided for you. Wear long sleeves, long pants and close toed sturdy footwear.
