Gold Beach Cleanup

Join SOLVE at the Gold Beach Visitor Center from 10 AM – 1 PM for the annual spring Gold Beach cleanup! Community members and volunteers can stop by anytime during this timeframe to pick up a bag and clean up the beach. Whether you clean for 10 minutes or three hours, you'll be making a huge difference for our beaches!
All volunteers who participate in the Gold Beach cleanup will get a free glass float when they turn in a bag of trash!
This event is part of the annual Spring Oregon Beach Cleanup, presented by AAA Oregon, a statewide effort to keep our beaches healthy and reduce the impacts to marine life.
Dress for rain or shine and wear sturdy shoes. SOLVE will provide bags and gloves. However, volunteers are encouraged to bring their own reusable bucket/bag, gloves, and water bottle to help reduce plastic waste. Don’t forget about the small stuff! The #1 items found on Oregon beaches are tiny bits of plastic and cigarette butts, which are harmful to shore birds and marine life. Bring an old colander to sift the sand for these items.
Please remember our ocean shores can be dangerous. Avoid logs in the water and marine mammals, and never turn your back on the ocean! Please keep dogs on a leash and steer clear of roped off Snowy Plover nesting areas. If you find any hazardous material, please alert your Beach Captain.
Hauling, disposal and recycling services donated by Curry Transfer and Recycling.
Meet at the Gold Beach Visitor Center.
From Hwy 101, turn west onto Shirley Lane (Right if you are coming from the North). The Visitor Center will be on the right. Park at the Gold Beach Visitor Center and check-in. After checking in and/or registering, volunteers can clean the beach next to the Visitor Center, up Pistol River, Meyers Creek, Kissing Rock-Hunter Creek or the South Jetty of Gold Beach.
