Turn the Tide. Adopt a Beach!

Adopting a beach is simple. It only takes one person to get things started. Every cleanup, no matter how large or small, makes a big difference toward the health of our public beaches!

Adoption Guidelines

All Oregon Adopt-A-Beach participants are required to clean their adopted stretch of coastal beach at least three times a year, for two years and report their results back to SOLVE.

What beaches are available for adoption?

SOLVE is currently supporting groups, families or individuals who would like to adopt their favorite stretch of beach anywhere on the coast of Oregon. There are dozens of beaches available. Please contact SOLVE if you are interested in a specific location or if you would like some help picking a beach to adopt.

SOLVE support for Oregon Adopt-A-Beach participants includes:

  • Oregon Adopt-A-Beach Cleanup Leader Handbook
  • Training and ongoing project support
  • Project webpage and registration for cleanups open to the public
  • Free cleanup supplies (bags, gloves, sharps container, etc)
  • Small grant assistance of up to $100 a year to supplement on the ground cleanup expenses (limited number of grants available)
  • Adoption listed on the SOLVE website and a certificate of adoption
